Artisan Spotlight: Karen McGovern

What I love so much about Innovation Team Member Karen McGovern’s Jewelry (and trust me it is hard to narrow all the things I love down into one blog post) is her consistent sense of adventure. Karen is always trying something new. Always learning a new technique. There is no moss gathering on this rolling stone. This lady is a rock star!!! Here are some new pieces that we are adding to our Nunn Design Gallery.

I love how Karen incorporated fibers into these two pieces. You just want to touch them!

Karen created this great collection of pieces, incorporating pieces of metal tin into the Nunn Design Button Shanks.

Karen was really inspired by the Nunn Design Summer and Fall Collection of charms and metal stampings. I love how she incorporated them into this jewelry collection.

There are often a lot of things going on within Karen’s Jewelry. Karen always seems to pull it off with just the right amount of color, texture and balance.

Karen did a bunch of exploration using Nunn Design 2 Part Resin and Colorants. I love this unique ring she created.

Alright, my favorite is left for last. This is just too awesome! I love how she created a miniature piece of sculpted art! Isn’t this awesome?
