Sorry! Even More Leather Cuff Colors To Choose From!

When Christmas decorations were spotted at the grocery store prior to Halloween, Isabella, my 7-year-old daughter screamed, “That just isn’t right!” Can you imagine how upset she would be if she knew her Mama was promoting new colors of leather cuff bracelets that were perfect for Valentine’s Day when we haven’t even celebrated Thanksgiving yet? Thank goodness she isn’t on the Nunn Design newsletter list, or I’d be totally busted!

As jewelry designers and creators, it isn’t too early to be thinking about these things. Hence, we are launching these new colors prior to Thanksgiving! Here is some of my latest play with these fun colored leather cuffs that are truly great year round.

I’m reading the book Radical Acceptance right now. One of the things that I’ve learned so far is the importance of pausing and remembering to breath. I made a couple of bracelets to remind me to do this.

I couldn’t resist showing these two pieces as a pair. They are just so sweet together. I texturized white Crystal Clay with a Judikin’s Clay Squisher and then colorized the cured clay with Nunn Design 2 Part Resin.

  • Video: Learn how to mix colorants into Nunn Design 2 Part Resin to create that pink color. I used Craftin Crafts Opaque White and Red to create this look.
  • Tutorial: We also have a great tutorial to learn how to add colorants to resin.
  • Tutorial: For the leather cuff, I used our Nunn Design Screw Back Bezels. Here is a tutorial showing how to attach them to the leather cuff.

A lot of the same techniques were used for this cuff bracelet as the cherry blossom one above. The only step that is new is the creating of the bee. For this I made a mold with Silicone Molding Putty to create that sculpted look. Way fun!

  • Video: Here is part 1 of a video series showing how to create a mold using the Silicone Molding Putty.
  • Tutorial: We also have a tutorial walking you through the steps.
  • Buy: All the same components as above were used to create this cuff, but to create the color I added a tiny pinhead amount of yellow to my already mixed pink. Cool huh?

Couldn’t resist showing you my Jackson Pollock tribute. For the pendant I used the Craftin’ Cast White Opaque Pigment to colorize the Nunn Design 2 Part Resin. After that was cured, I drizzled some red colorized resin over the white to give it that Pollock look. Then, there is a layer of clear over all. I’m working now on trying to create heart shapes with my red drizzle. Won’t that look cool!

And there you have it!

Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! All of us at Nunn Design are so thankful to have all of you as our customers!
