Innovation Team Member, Lorelei Eurto, has been having a lot of fun loving on leather! Here is what has been on her workbench this month.
There is nothing better than nice, soft, buttery leather. I just love it. I cannot get enough of it. I wore a suede dress to my senior prom, if that tells you anything. Well, here we are a few years later 😉 and I’m still loving it. In fact, it’s what’s on my bead table right now. A big ol’ bag of recycled, strips of heavy leather. No deerskin here, just primal and sturdy, thick leather strips.
Leather can have a bad rap, but it doesn’t have to always be so primal. I dressed it up by using some Nunn Design silver plated products in this necklace. Strips of leather are glued into a rectangular pendant bezel. I curled up a strip and inserted into a button bezel, and well why not? I thread some more through some link chain too!
And then, I had an impromptu game of tug-o-war with Casius.” – Lorelei
