There are so many ear wire options to choose from when designing earrings. The answer to the question, “When do I design with ear wires, post earrings or wire earrings” is not really profound. Sorry. It really comes down to what “feels” right. I like to have a variety of options because sometimes I find the Kidney Ear Wires to be too long, so then we have the smaller size. Sometimes I like to have a simple ear wire, so not to compete with the design. Other times, I want a really vintage look, so I go with the Leverback Earwires. And then, I’m also thinking about the market. Some people prefer posts. Some people like Itsy, some larger hoops.
