Working Strategically Together To Minimize Pricing Shifts
As a company, Nunn Design is thinking deeply about the changes that our world is experiencing and the impact it has on artisans, makers and entrepreneurs. We are committed to being creative and exploring ways that impact us all as minimally as possible.
One of those areas that we have taken a look at is how we have priced our plated findings the same across all finishes—whether copper, silver, or 24k gold. That made ordering simple, but with today’s metal market, it no longer reflects the true cost of production. We’ve taken a thoughtful, strategic approach—not all prices are increasing, and not all increases will be the same.
Metal prices have been climbing steadily over the past several months. While tariffs and trade policy have played a part, this shift is really being driven by broader forces—supply and demand, economic shifts, and the rising cost of materials across the board. Gold, in particular, has reached historic pricing.
What’s changing:

Going forward, pricing will vary by finish. Gold-plated items, for example, will now reflect their higher material cost compared to copper or silver.

Second, the rising cost of pewter—our casting base metal—is also affecting pricing across the board. Even items with more affordable finishes may see adjustments, depending on the materials and process involved.
These changes will not take effect until July 1, 2025, allowing you time to address your pricing and inform your customers. Here is a spreadsheet list of the items with the price update.
