Artisan Spotlight: Christee Ballard Explores Wire Wrapping and Resin

The mission behind Nunn Design is: Through collaborative relationships, Nunn Design inspires and nurtures creativity. We take that mission very seriously, beginning within our own staff. Throughout the year, each of the team members works directly with Becky as they explore their own creative voice. For Christee, she was interested in exploring wire wrapped sea glass as well as resin with sea glass.

Christee watched several videos online to learn more about wire wrapping, but it really took time at the “kitchen table” to really figure things out. “I kept hearing Becky’s voice as I explored wire wrapping. Becky is constantly reminding us to let go of that negative voice that pops up and allow ourselves to accept that we might be bad at something while we learn and experiment. It is through letting go of the self criticism and allowing myself to play that I was able to keep moving forward through practice and exploration.”

Christee is a joy to the Nunn Design Team. She is funny, caring and stocks our office with healthy snacks each week. Who wouldn’t love that!
